The motion sensor detects whether someone enters a dark room or leaves a lit room. In the first case, it activates the light with the light intensity and color temperature you have programmed. So, when children have to go to the bathroom at night, for example, they are not dazzled by bright light, but guided by soft lighting in the hallways. In the second case, when someone leaves a room and no one is left there, the sensor first gradually dims the light by 50 percent before turning it off completely.
